Roadmap

Sub-second responses

A pre-trade call that arrives after the decision is not a pre-trade call.

Ladders are precomputed per pool, so request-time work reduces to a walk plus interpolation. The target is sub-second end to end, including payment negotiation on a paid call.

Set a hard client timeout regardless, and treat a timeout as a decision input rather than an absence of one.

Failing open is the specific danger. An agent that times out and falls through to the oracle price is worse off than one that never called — it now has a false sense of having checked.
