Why we publish the worst depth in the window instead of the average
An average hides the exact event you are paying to avoid. Headline risk fields report the worst observed condition in the window, and the window is stated on every result.

The oracle is not stale by its own definition — it reports the last real close, which is what it is for. Nothing else in the stack says the market behind that price will not open for 40 hours.
